Dear Marie & Ola,
Before Robert saw it, I put it on an early simple country table in front of one of our beautiful 18th century windows, with the morning light coming through it. His reaction on coming through the door was instant – “WOW”!
We are both so pleased with it. Its character alters constantly with the changing English light – it is both moody and bright, at different times, and we know it will give us pleasure always.
We are always moving things around here, to suit our mood. It is interesting to see how pieces look in relationship to other items – It is also a way of “re-introducing” ourselves to items that have been around for a while, and giving us a new view of them.
